Butuan Doctors College (BDC) was established in 1975 as an educational institution envisioned to complement the services of Butuan Doctors Hospital. It began with a single course offering—Bachelor of Science in Nursing—to address the growing need for qualified healthcare professionals in the region.

Through the years, BDC steadily expanded its academic programs, introducing courses in Medical Technology, Radiologic Technology, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, and other allied health professions. Each expansion marked the institution’s firm resolve to adapt to the evolving demands of the healthcare sector and contribute meaningfully to the community it serves.
